Yvonne has worked in the National Health Service (NHS) since 1993 but her journey in child protection really began in 2003 after becoming the Named Nurse Operational Lead for Safeguarding Children,
in London. Now as Designated Nurse Strategic Lead for Safeguarding Children, Yvonne is responsible for ensuring that health providers in her catchment area make informed decisions on safeguarding
children and child protection.
Protecting vulnerable children in the UK has become less a job and more a passion of Yvonne's and her driving motivation is to establish a similar structure for safeguarding the welfare of children
in Ghana.
Allette Pryce - Director
Allette Pryce is a registered social work practitioner in Canada and England with more than 20 years of experience. She has a
social worker degree (BSW) from the University of Calgary in Calgary, Alberta Canada; a Bachelor of Arts degree (BA adv) with and advanced major in Psychology from the University of Manitoba in
Winnipeg, Manitoba Canada; and a Masters of Science degree in Child, Adolescent Mental Health from the London Metropolitan University in London, England.
Her years of experience have been across child protective services, adult services, justice and community development in Canada and in various local authorise in
England. Her experience has been across various cultures and ethnical boundaries in both countries. Her experience includes practitioner level, managerial and strategic development within
both countries.
Support Team and Volunteers
C-SAF is blessed to call upon the skills and expertise of a passionate group of volunteers and professionals that make up it's support team. This includes three qualified Senior Social Welfare
Workers with over 30 years experience in child protection, fostering & adoption, child abuse and children with disability. As well as an ex-teacher with 20 years experience currently working in
Ghana with International Needs (NGO).
An addition to the skilled professionals, we also work with young students eager to get involved in social projects and cut their teeth in their respective fields. We have a great relationship with
the Psychology and Sociology and Criminology students at the University of Surrey, who are offering to volunteering at C-SAF.
